Rebuilding Louisiana is hard. Like other American downtowns, the small downtown of Louisiana has been left behind a long time ago. And time has not been gentle. The buildings have holes, the buildings are wet, they are dirty, and they are moldy. They are filled with Dumpster loads of filth. But just as the pigeons are flying outward through a hole in a pane of glass into a gentle morning breeze a new force has taken hold. It's a quilt of people that has arrived. Some were born in town and are young; some have left other cities to find peace for their families; some are older and have faith. Some have money; all are ambitious. Their spirit ties this quilt together. Their energy together and their will combined will rebuild Louisiana.
