The 56th Missouri Photo Workshop Photographs are now Online View Stories

MPW.56 documented Hermann, Mo. The town of German heritage is nestled in the bluffs overlooking the Missouri River.

39 Stories were shot by the students who participated in the workshop. The stories ranged in subject from an essay on a local tavern by Uwe Martin to a profile story of a certified therapy dog by Jennifer Page, as well as a story on Hermann's Catholic priest, Father Bill, by Deborah Silver

Take a few moments to explore small town America through the photographs of the 56th Missouri Photo Workshop here.

Photographer and columnist Frank Van Riper spent a week as an "outsider" at the Hermann workshop - read his observations and insights online at the Washingtonpost.com.
