Kaz buffs a miniature boot with wax in her hobby room at home while Con is away at work. Kaz was also an educator for 17 years and then other various jobs, from being a 911 dispatcher to a nutrition director for a senior center, until she took a medical disability. "It can be hell and it has been hell over these four decades plus, because of what I couldn't do with her (Con) in public by not being able to accompany her as her partner at various social events, " says Kaz. "That's why we never go out for dinner for our anniversary because we can't even hold hands, " Kaz adds. Instead, for each anniversary they have a romantic dinner at home and dance to Johnny Mathis music in the kitchen.
