what kind of pie? –Tom WaitsIn Chillicothe, Missouri, the day begins at 5 a.m. as the neon sign lights up at Nick’s Cafe. Trucks begin pulling up and the regulars file in to get a good breakfast to start their day. Antiques clutter the shelves and walls create a comfort reminiscent of grandma’s place. After opening almost two years ago, the popularity of Nick’s Cafe grew mostly by word of mouth. Once inside, you’re likely to be greeted by Sarah and a fresh cup of coffee. Home-style cooking is what keeps most people coming back, sometimes for both breakfast and lunch.
The day begins at 5 a.m. at Nick’s Cafe in Chillicothe, Missouri. Considered by some to be the best place to eat breakfast in town, the restaurant has seen great success after opening almost two years ago.
