- The life of Gale Whitfield Grey III, 22, has been anything but charmed. Like his mentors, he could fill a rap album with lyrics describing a life of partying and a young existence lived hard and fast. He was hardened by tough love and stints in jail. “People didn’t like me when I first came here,” he said. This caused him to constantly fight for the respect and admiration of his peers in Chillicothe. Despite the tough exterior, he has a soft spot for the people he considers family.
The latter half of Gale’s life has been spent in and out of trouble with the law. Spending time as an adult in Missouri’s Department of Corrections earned him a case number that he displays on his wrist. If he ever returns to prison, he’ll have the same number.
