  • Dealing with the hardships of being a teenager is challenging for most kids. This is not the case for Whitney Jordan, who begins each day full of strength and enthusiasm. Born without a tibia, fibula, and ankle bones, her legs were amputated when she was only two, but this has hardly slowed her down. Since then, she has successfully adjusted to her prosthetics and she is involved in diverse activities both at school and home.

Cheerleading is one of her most demanding activities and one that occupies most of her time. School, soccer, and a part time job at a pizza joint take up the rest of her busy schedule. At the end of the day she returns home for dinner and still finds time to hang out with Tammy, her mother, and, Dallas and Haley her sisters.

Whitney is without a doubt the pride of Chillicothe High.

Whitney Jordan, 16, a student at Chillicothe High School serves as the base of a human pyramid during cheerleading practice.
