Blumhorst prays before eating lunch with his mother Velma, and father, Wilbert, at their home in Slater, Mo. "Being so close to my mom and dad is the reason that I am successful," he says. "Every time I see my dad could be the last time I see him. I remind him all the time what a great guy he was, what a great provider he was, and how good-looking he was."
