A recent knee operation has slowed Carolyn Root down. She works 25 hours a week as a custodian at First United Methodist Church, Marshall. All the money she earns goes for the care and upkeep of her dogs. "My kids are animal lovers, but one or two dogs. They are still young, they know we take all we can get and put it in the dogs, they think we should put it somewhere elsa." Carolyn shrugs,
" You could die tomorrow you might as well put the money where you enjoy it".
