Ruben watches television in Yesenia Grocery & Restaurant, an El Salvadoran business while the owner and cook sit in the kitchen. He has only a handful of close Latino friends in town, and no close Anglo friends. Ruben says he has no problem making acquaintances and talking to folks on a daily basis, but that it is difficult to find people to converse with about topics he is more deeply interested in.
