Golon is the picture editor of TIME magazine. In the last year,
she coordinated the photography for Time's National Magazine Award winning
special black-bordered edition commemorating September 11 as well as the
one-year anniversary special published last week. Golon has judged three
Pictures of the Year competitions and will teach at the Joop Swaart World
Press Masterclass this fall in Amsterdam. During the Gulf War, Golon served
as the on-site photography editor for TIME and Life magazines, and she
coordinated the photographic coverage of the Olympic Games from 1984 to
2002. Golon graduated with honors from the University of Florida in 1983
and completed a fellowship at Duke University in 1990. She lives with
her son, Christian, in Demarest, N.J. |
