Daniel and Melinda Van Aalsburg banded together at Daniel’s freshman band orientation at Arkansas State University. The two started dating shortly after they met as tuba and flute players and recently relocated to Mountain Grove. With a better job opportunity that brought them closer to their parents, the Van Aalsburgs balance raising a two-year old daughter while harmoniously managing band commitments. Daniel regularly picks up lunch for Melinda, the only opportunity the pair has to be together alone. The crescendo couple is now in charge of an eclectic bunch and reviving the Mountain Grove middle and high school bands.
