Eldon, Missouri resident Carl Hees, 85, and wife Ruth just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Carl is a retired mechanic, former private pilot, and a Korean War vet. The Skelly service station he ran for 22 years was his pride and joy. But above all, Carl is a family man.

Retirement has not slowed him down. With the vitals of an 18 year old, an infectious schoolboy laugh, and boundless energy, Carl is always in motion and spends most days working on his son Mike’s farm where “He does the wrecking and I do the bailing,” says Carl.
